Caroline Shea
Caroline Shea is a founding editor at Hope Springs Creative. She’s worked previously as small press and freelance editor, an agency assistant, a publishing contracts assistant, and a subsidiary rights professional. She’s the author of a collection of poetry, Lambflesh, and her own writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The Deadlands, Kaleidotrope, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, and Luna Station Quarterly, among other publications. She earned her MFA in poetry from NYU and she lives in New York.

Matt Lane
Matt Lane is a founding member of Hope Springs Creative and a lawyer with fifteen years of contract law experience. Separate from his role at Hope Springs, Matt works with authors to help understand their contracts and protect their rights. He has also worked at FEMA and the D.C. Office of the Attorney General, where he drafted, negotiated, and litigated contracts ranging in value from a few thousand dollars to over a billion dollars. In addition to a J.D., Matt received a degree in Classics from the George Washington University and has lived in the D.C. area ever since.

In addition to her founding role at Hope Springs Creative, Erin Clark is a labor union organizer with nearly twenty years of experience in contract negotiation and enforcement. She holds a Masters Degree in Education and was a National Board Certified teacher of high school history, literature and journalism, creating a lifelong soft spot for all things YA. She also worked as the City Editor of a small town newspaper, back before they all got gobbled up. She lives in San Diego.

Sandra Hahn is Co-Vice President at Hope Springs Creative, where she helps shape the collective’s creative vision and reads submissions across the press. Her writing has appeared in Black Heart magazine and MXDWN Games. A graduate of the University of California, Riverside, she studied under Salvador Plascencia and Susan Straight. She has also worked in digital marketing for 11 years, specializing in social media.
